Moodboard Monday: Earthy & Calm

It’s moodboard Monday! Join me here every other Monday to explore a new moodboard, which is one of my favorite parts of the branding process. It’s the piece that gives life to the feelings and sensations you want to evoke when someone experiences your brand. When you stir up those genuine feelings, you prime your ideal client or customer to resonate with what you have to offer, even if they haven’t read a word about you yet.

Let’s jump into this week’s moodboard! We’re halfway through Fall and I’m feeling so inspired by the colors and cozy feelings as it gets colder outside. This moodboard would be perfect for an earthy, practical brand. It feels comfortable and approachable while staying clean and simple.

The kind of brand or business I envision using this moodboard: A small, local coffee shop.

The feelings I wanted to evoke in this moodboard: Organic, cozy, grounded, and relaxed. This is a laidback coffee shop where the baristas know everyone by name. It has a modern, trendy vibe while still feeling traditional and offering high quality products.

The visual I had in mind while building this: A small coffee shop with handmade mugs and comfy couches. Customers are hanging out with their books and computers, and you can smell the fresh coffee beans and bagels toasting.

What feelings does this bring up for you? What kind of brand could you imagine this moodboard being perfect for? Leave a comment to let me know!
